4 Games Industry Events You Can't Miss!

Douglas Stewart

Game Conferences Rock!

With so many exciting events happening in the game industry over the coming months, let iQU guide you to the essential four you don't want to miss!

Casual Connect

22-24th May, Singapore

Run by the Casual Games Association, it is THE premier event for the casual games industry, attracting over 5000 industry vets and professionals every year.  IQU is a proud silver sponsor of Casual Connect, and more importantly, our very own General Manager of the IQU Asia Group Thomas Lee will be there! Alongside notable persons like Gustaf Leksell from the BBC Worldwise and Stephane Panyasiri of SEA Gaming, he will be delivering a critical discussion on the challenges faced when building a new user base for games, and how to truly leverage user data to make the most of your marketing investment.

Gamescom

15-19th August, Cologne

This is world’s largest trade event focusing on everything that is interactive entertainment and the games industry. When I say large, it logged over 280,000 visitors last year! I always have a ton of fun there, and run into an endless amount of awesome people filled with the same passion as I hold for the game industry. Its feature rich with publishers and manufacturers showcasing the latest in hardware and games releases, and comes complete with a wicked outdoor 'chill' area when you need a networking breather. If that wasn’t enough, iQU will be exhibiting at the event this year with a very sexy booth, complete with great people, good conversation and of course, free booze!

Affiliate Summit East

August 12-14, 2012

The Affiliate Summit has become one of those 'not so quiet anymore' events where real knowledge exchange and professional networking happens stateside. Started way back in 2003, the event has grown at an extraordinary rate, and it's become an important meeting hub for affiliate marketing knowledge share and partnership growth, especially in the games industry. I do have to say however, the parties’ rock extremely hard, and the 'Meet Market' is an exceptionally exciting place. It's very hard NOT to become infected with all the energy the table holders bring with them, and our very own iQU meet market table is a chance to see how much like energizer bunnies we really are!

E3

June 5-7, 2012

Oh E3, how we do love thee. Whether it’s all that neon or the intelligent conversations with scantily clad booth personnel, E3 is the show packed to the brim with vendors, developers, producers and everyone and their Gran who love video games. Not only do you get to see the latest games and consoles, but it showcases mobile technologies, handheld systems and the opportunity to meet and network with the key personalities that make our industry so vibrant. Our very own Menno van der Bil is heading out there, so be sure to say hi!

We really look forward to seeing you at any of these awesome events, so why not schedule a meeting with our team! Just shoot an email over to marketing@iqu.com and we'll be in touch.
