Zynga Revenues Up: 5 Essential Facts Takeaway

For the period ending March 31st 2012, revenue climbed by an uber 32% to $321 million dollars. User figures understandably rose alongside it:

DAU's increased to 65 million, up by 6% from the same quarter last year
MAU's reached 292 million, up by 24% from the same quarter last year.
MUU's breached the 180 million mark (182 million), up by 25% from the same quarter last year.

iQU is honored to be named a Red Herring Global 100 winner. "iQU is making a huge impact in shaping the future of the games industry," Red Herring Chairman Alex Vie recognized.

CEO Reinout te Brake and COO Jochem de Gruyter were presented with the Top 100 Red Herring Global Award at a ceremony in Los Angeles on December 7.

The Red Herring editorial team selected the Top 100 Global list from a list of more than 1000 companies from over 40 nations representing past Red Herring Asia, Europe and North America award winners. The winners are judged on a range of qualitative and quantitative metrics, including but not limited to, technology innovation, financial performance, growth criterion, management's execution standards, potential globalization of the strategy and market share improvement.

iQU Featured on Venture Beat - Newzoo: Free-to-play MMO spending increases 24 percent in U.S

Americans are spending 24 percent more on free-to-play massively multiplayer online games (MMOs) this year than they did in 2010, according to a new market report from Newzoo.

Consumers spent a total of $4.9 billion on free-to-play (F2P) MMO games across thirteen key Western, Asian and emerging markets in 2011, with 47 percent ($1.2 billion) of all MMO spending coming from the United States, according to the 2011 MMO Games Market Report. This is significantly higher than the 39 percent spent in 2010, but is still lower than spending in European (53 percent), Asian (51 percent) and Emerging (59 percent) markets.
