iQU was selected as one of the Red Herring Top 100 Global businesses for 2011. "iQU is making a huge impact in shaping the future of the games industry," Red Herring Chairman Alex Vieux recognized.
CEO Reinout te Brake and COO Jochem de Gruyter was presented with the Red Herring Top 100 Global Award at a ceremony in Los Angeles on December 7.
The Red Herring editorial team selected the Top 100 Global list from a list of more than 1000 companies from over 40 nations representing past Red Herring Asia, Europe and North America award winners. The winners are judged on a range of qualitative and quantitative metrics, including but not limited to, technology innovation, financial performance, growth criterion, management's execution standards, potential globalization of the strategy and market share improvement.
“Technology companies are becoming the bright spot in the economic outlook based on their increasing role within macro-economic environments,“ stated Alex Vieux, chairman of Red Herring. “2011 has confirmed the sector's vibrant activity and its resilience to widespread economic problems. An unprecedented number of entrepreneurs are attempting to jump ahead of the competition and aspire to make a difference. Breakthroughs obsolete each other faster than ever before. iQU has performed exceptionally in its field and strongly deserves to be singled out for the 2011 Top 100 Global Award Grand Prize."
Says Reinout te Brake on winning the award, "It was a super experience. Seeing and talking to so many investors and other startups, the energy was special. The Red Herring week is something everyone should check out. In the end it is my team who made winning this award possible. Therefore, thank you iQU team!"
