Gamescom – Five days filled with most popular games, more than 300.000 visitors from 97 countries, and 30,500 trade visitors, publishers and game development companies. All that in one makes this gaming conference the biggest most efficient and productive gaming convention in Europe. Combining that with the amazing weather and awesome people attending the event, the result was great atmosphere for business, trying out games and having fun.

From Microsoft and Sony to Blizzard and EA Games, the attendees had a chance to get a glimpse of the newest games in the market now, check out the current gaming trends and meet potential business partners that will help them make their games global sensation.

From the point of view of a digital marketing agency dedicated to provide services in the fields of UA through complete media approach we completely agree that NOW is the best time to be a developer of a game. Especially because of the fact that game marketing ecosystem itself is akin for rolling the dice. From our experience we also know that currently developers focus on player retention instead of player acquisition, which usually leads them to targeting the wrong audience.

With that said we understand the challenges game developers are facing while trying to grow their games in the fast-paced sector where the growth is the key.

During Gamescom one of the most interesting things to see was the fact that the primarily focus now of the game developers and game publishers was about strategizing when it comes to the Player Acquisition process.

From using approaches such as: integration of performance marketing, leverage key influencers, building loyalty to existing players, or complementary approach towards press coverage, which are some of the ways developers can acquire and retain players depending on stage of developer their game is at, to following other trends and providing the best experience and service, they are focusing on bringing the best results and awareness by making their game grow at every stage.

We tend to keep up with the global trends and help game developers easily solve problems related to targeting the correct audience and gaining the right players, by providing assistance focused on strategical approach when it comes to creating campaigns for attracting new players.

Starting from idea validation, through focus on development and testing to getting the game ready for market – we are here to grown great games in a unique way powered by long term experience.

More information about our approach you can find here.

IQU is a part of the gaming family for a long time and we were excited to participate once more at this awesome conference, where our team had a chance to talk to gamers, game developers and other members of the industry.

Congratulations to the organizers who surprised us once more and organized an amazing conference. Here is a glimpse of our experience during GamesCom 2016!

See you next year!!
